Swine influenza A (H1N1) virus spreads same way as the seasonal flu. Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza. Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose. Infected person can be able to infect others a day before the symptoms develop and up to 1 week or more after becoming infected. It means that the infected person can pass on the flu to someone before he know that he is sick, and as well as while he is sick.
The best thing to prevent and the most important: wash your hands. Try to stay and maintain healthy life style. Get plenty of sleep and rest, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Try not touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. If you got infected stay home and try to avoid others to keep them from being infected.
